The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings made for investment purposes) in fixed-income securities. It may invest up to 35% of its assets in below investment-grade fixed-income securities and up to 20% of its assets in equity securities, such as common stocks and preferred stocks.
