The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in inflation-protected bonds. The fund manager focuses on bonds issued by the U.S. Treasury (e.g., Treasury inflation-protected securities), but similar bonds issued by U.S. government agencies and corporations may also be purchased. It may also invest up to 20% of its net assets in fixed-income securities that are not indexed to inflation.
