Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of small market capitalization companies that the fund's managers consider to have growth characteristics. The fund adviser considers a company to be a small market capitalization company if it has a market capitalization similar to the market capitalizations of the companies in the Russell 2000® Index.
