The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of small- and mid-cap companies. The fund managers consider small- and mid-cap companies to be those companies within the market capitalization range of the Russell 2500® Index at the time of initial purchase. The equity securities in which the fund invests are primarily common stocks, but may also include shares of ETFs, REITs, and master limited partnerships ("MLPs").
